What We Take
Each donation that comes through the door helps to build simple, decent, affordable housing in St. Charles County. Every donation is greatly appreciated and we couldn't do what we do without each and every donor. There are a few donors that stand out because of the sheer volume that is donated. These large donations are generally from local businesses who want to help support their community and environment. Please patronize these businesses if you should need their services or product. Thank you to all of our donors!
Thank you to Ryan and Briana from Rubbish Works!

The question of "what do you take?" is a difficult one to answer. Generally we accept building materials and furniture. Though, the donations that the Habitat St. Charles ReStore accepts changes from time to time.
Below is a list of items that we typically accept. We do suggest that ALL donors call prior to delivery.

How to be a good donor!

We ask that you please donate while the store is open. A very generous donor left a wonderful stove, when new, was valued at $843. Unfortunately this donor left this stove after the store had closed. There was a major storm that came through and now the stove is ruined, we are unable to raise funds from this item and will have to pay to dispose of the stove. If items are not ruined they are often stolen. In turn, both of these scenarios takes money away from our mission of building simple, decent, affordable housing for deserving families. Please be a good donor and donate during store hours only.
